How Do You Get ACDSee to Detect Ghostscript for PDF Files?

0

The “Ghostscript” of a PDF file is a hidden file located in the same directory as the PDF. Typically this is an earlier version of a PDF if you’ve made any changes that you’ve saved. ACDSee is an organizational program that can view digital images and even PDF files. If you want ACDSee to be able to see the ghostscript for a PDF file, you’re going to need to enable hidden files in Windows Explorer. Click “Computer” on your Windows desktop. Click “Tools.” Click “Folder Options…” Click the “View” tab. Check “Show hidden files and folders” and then click “OK.” The viewing of hidden files is now enabled on your computer. Open ACDSee via its “Start” menu icon. Use ACDSee to navigate to the directory where your PDF file is stored. You will now be able to see the icon for your PDF file, and all of the icons for the ghostscript files in the same directory. To open a file in ACDSee, double-click it in the main ACDSee program window.
