How Do You Get A Mildew Smell Out Of Bath Towels?
There is nothing worse than getting out of the shower, wrapping up in a clean towel and getting a big whiff of a mildew smell. This mildew odor on bath towels is often the result of the towels not being thoroughly dried. Not only is this odor unappealing, but mildew smell on bath towels can mean that moisture is present. Moisture can lead to the formation of microorganisms such as mold. Removing mildew odors from towels will not only leave your towels smelling fresh and clean, but will also prevent mold from growing on the fabric. Place the bath towels in the washer. Fill the washing machine with plain, hot water. Pour one cup of white vinegar into the washer in place of laundry detergent. Run the wash cycle. Put the bath towels through the wash cycle again, without drying in between washes. Use regular laundry detergent in this wash cycle.
