How Do You Get A Cat Used To Snow?

0

• Bring some snow indoors in a dish, so that your cat can sniff it, touch it with his nose, and tentatively put his paw on it. Move the dish closer and closer to the door; leave the door open too so that he starts to see the connection between what is in the dish, and what is falling outside. • Carry the cat outside and just let the cat look around safely. Don’t put the cat on the snow at this point. Carry the cat to a tree/bush so she can touch her nose to the snow that has collected on the leaves or undergrowth. Then, carry her back to “dry land” and let her decide if she wants to explore further. Just let your cat be. If your cat is just naturally gregarious and unafraid of most everything, just put him down in the doorway and leave him be; he’ll probably be out in the snow in no time.
