How Do You Freeze Frosted Sugar Cookies?
Holidays, birthdays and special events often call for making dozens of sugar cookies, and frosting them makes them even more festive. It is easy to get wrapped up in the festivities and overestimate just how many cookies you actually need. Alternatively, you could be the recipient of more sugar cookies than you know what to do with. Fortunately, it is very easy to freeze sugar cookies and save them for another time. Lay your cookies out on a cookie sheet and place them in the freezer for 1 hour. This will enable the frosting to harden up so the designs on the cookies do not get damaged from touching each other. Remove the cookies from the freezer. Place a sheet of wax paper on the bottom of a plastic freezer container. The best size container to use for this is a 9- by 13-inch container, but the “entree” size disposable freezer containers work well also. Place a layer of cookies on the bottom of the container. Cover with a layer of wax paper. Add another layer of cookies. Repeat until
