How Do You Freeze An Ice Cube Onto A Table?
• Get a suitable ice cube. The best types of ice for this trick are those that are flat on one side and curved on the other side (shaped like the letter “D”). • Place the ice cube on the table with the flat surface of the cube on the table. • Rub the ice cube on the table in a small area for 5-10 seconds to cool the surface of the table where you’ll be freezing it. Don’t worry about any water that melts off of the ice cube. • Sprinkle table salt on the cube and the water around it. It doesn’t need to be a thick layer but it should be a good three or four shakes of a salt shaker. • Use a napkin to dry all the water and wipe up the salt just up to the edges of the ice cube. It will seem as if the napkin is sucking the water up, because the bottom of the ice cube should already be frozen at this point. Ask your friends to try to move it. They will be amazed at how firmly it has been attached!
