How Do You Forward USPS Media Mail?
Misdelivered mail is a problem for people who continue to receive correspondence for former residents. In some cases, the current address of the target recipient is available and the mail can be forwarded. Media mail, a less expensive method of mailing items like books and CDs, can receive the same forwarding service as regular mail. Write the new address of the target recipient on the media mail if this is known. Write “Forward to” followed by the new address. If the address is not local, the sender will receive additional charges from USPS for forwarding the mail. Have the media mail returned to the sender if the intended recipient does not reside at your address and you do not know the new address. Write “Not at this address” on the mail piece. USPS will return the mail to the sender at the same mail class in which it was sent. Write carefully to avoid obliterating any of the information or endorsements on the mail piece when you write the note. Place the mail piece in your mailbox
