How Do You Follow Official Street Basketball Rules?
Street basketball is usually played on playgrounds and in gymnasiums in pickup games and organized street basketball programs and tournaments. The rules are much the same as regular basketball with a few exceptions. Separate the group into 2 equal teams with each team supporting 3 players. Toss a coin to determine which team will have the ball at the start of the game. Use a half court with 1 hoop for street basketball. The court will need to be marked with the base and sidelines, the 3-point arc and a free-throw line. Play the game as you normally would, shooting at the same hoop for each team. Pass the ball to defense who then gets possession of the ball after offense has made a basket. Clear the ball behind the 3-point arc before attempting to make a basket if you are on defense after a steal or defensive rebound.
