How Do You Fold The Union Flag?
As with many things there is a right way and a wrong way to do something. This holds true when discussing the folding of the Union or United States flag. There is proper etiquette, as it were, if not ceremony which has been set forth to ensure the US flag receives the respect it deserves. To correctly fold the United States (Union) flag requires two people. First, both people should stand facing one another and hold the flag about waist-high by the corners. The flag should be taught and parallel to the ground below. Fold the bottom of the stripe section, lengthwise, across and over the field of stars other wise known as the Union. It is important to maintain a firm hold on the flag ensuring that the flag does not slip and touch the ground at any time. After it is folded, the two people should again be holding the flag by the four corners.
