Button-down shirts look very nice when they are first bought inside the plastic case, folded and neatly pressed. Most shirts, however, never see that state again because not many people know how to fold a button-down shirt. Discover a simple process by which you can fold and organize your button-down shirts. Press the shirt. Make sure the shirt is ironed carefully, especially around the collar and buttons. Lay the shirt on its back on a made bed or a table, and button it up all the way. The button-down collars should also be buttoned up. Turn the shirt over. Pick up the shirt by the shoulders and turn it over on its reverse side. Smooth all the creases from the fabric and lay it out flat again. Fold the sleeve across the back of the shirt, pulling the edge of the shirt folded about 2 inches.
