How Do You Fix Window Shade Problems?
From tine-to-time you may run into one of these window shade problems that can be easily fixed. Below are the most common window shade problems and how to fix them. Step 1 BINDING- A window shade will bind when it fits too tight between the brackets. This can easily be fixed by flatten each bracket slightly with a hammer. Worse case you may need to shorten the pin slightly. Step 2 FALLING SHADE- A shade will fall out of the bracket when they are too far apart. This can be fixed by placing a thin wood shim under either bracket or both. If you don’t have a wood shim, you can use cardboard instead.
