How Do You Fix Soup, Gravy Or Sauce That Has Too Much Salt?

0

The Soup is too salty? Step 1 Have you spent all day preparing a special dinner, only to discover that the soup, gravy or sauce is too salty? Don’t throw it out! You can save the day. Use this old wives remedy to take that extra salt out! Step 2 If the sauce, gravy or soup is too salty, you will need to add one medium potato for every 2 quarts of liquid. You may peel the potatoes or keep them unpeeled. Cut the potatoes into 1/2″ slices. Sweet potatoes can be used in a pinch, but you may need to peel them to help with the absorbsion of the salt. Step 3 Once the potatoes are tender, you can use a strainer to remove the them from the sauce, soup or gravy. For extreme cases of salty foods, you may need to add more potatoes to get the job done. You can never add too many potatoes. Step 4 Pass this on to your daughters and granddaughters! Try it! It really works!
