When the Fixture Box is Loose Step 1 Turn off the power for the fixture that’s hanging at the circuit breaker. Step 2 Remove the fixture’s cover and bulbs. Use a touch-type voltage tester to check the socket for power. Step 3 Loosen the fixture from the mounting bar bolts and pull the fixture off.
