How Do You Fix Kitchen Chair Cushion Ties?
Kitchen cushion ties that keep snapping every time someone sits on them are annoying. Fix them permanently so that they cease to snap and are kept safely looped around the chair. • Take the cushions off the chairs. • Remove each tie set from every cushion. Keep the ties, as they will be used again. • Replace each of the ties with elastic loops: • Make elastic ties 8cm/3.1″ long x 4cm/1.5″ wide. Place these in the same position as the old ties. • Machine sew or hand sew the loops on the cushions in the same place as the old ties. Tie the cushions back on the chairs. Reuse the old ties tied around the elastic loops and then tied direct to the chair. When someone sits on the chair, there will be plenty of give in the cushion and it will remain tied to the chair.
