Many craft punches are destined to jam or sick. These tools are even prone to damage from punching heavy paper or stacked paper. I will tell you what the secret is to cure this problem once and for all. First you need to free the punch and get it stroking free again. Some punches can be disassembled or have covers on them. Remove what you can but do not pry apart with tools. You might break plastic snaps that hold many punches together. Usually a side impact with a rubber mallet or show will get the punch to release. Make sure all paper slivers are gone. If you have done something dumb like spraying WD-40 on the punch, you will need to get it off.
