After downloading and installing certain system updates to Windows Vista 64 bit systems, Internet Explorer will stop working when certain websites are visited. Numerous complaints have been made to Microsoft about this problem, but as of yet Microsoft has not provided any solutions. However, there is a fix for this that will get Internet Explorer working again (the author has personally had this problem and fixed it with this solution). Requiring very little effort, this is a simple fix that should stop Internet Explorer from freezing in Vista 64 bit systems. Right-click on your shortcut to Internet Explorer (either in the Start Menu, Desktop, or Quick launch bar) and select “Properties” from the context menu. Open the “Shortcut” tab (if necessary) and select all the text in the “Target” text field. Replace the existing target with “C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” (must be exactly entered). Select all the text in the “Start in” text field and replace it with “%HO
