How Do You Fix DVD Playback Problems In Windows Media Player?
Windows Media Player (WMV) is a multimedia player that allows you playback both music and videos. It can playback media in many different formats, such as WMV, MPEG-2 and MP3. It also allows you to playback DVD movies. There are times when DVD playback may run into display and decoder problems and diminish performance. With some simple troubleshooting steps and guidelines, you can resolve these problems and improve the quality of your playbacks. Verify that the DVD decoder is installed if the DVD is not playing on the Windows Media Player. To do this, click the “Tools” button on the player interface, and then click “Options.” Check for the DVD tab on the Options console. If you do not see the DVD tab, it means the decoder is missing. Download and install a decoder (see Resources) appropriate for your operating system. Try playing the DVD again. If it does not work, try playing another DVD.
