Hot tubs are constructed using fiberglass. Fiberglass is a very strong lightweight material with many good characteristics, but over time fiberglass can crack or fracture. This causes leaks, and possibly damage, to the deck or wood platform where it rests. Instead of closing the jacuzzi for good or replacing the entire fiberglass shell, which will be expensive, you can seal the cracks and repaint the repairs.
