How Do You Fix Cloudy Headlights On A 1999 Dodge?
The headlights on your 1999 Dodge may need to be cleaned if they become cloudy on the inside of the headlight lens. This cloudiness often happens as a result of moisture getting inside the headlight housing assembly and drying. A cloudy headlight on your Dodge will prevent optimal lighting and performance from your headlight assembly. Fortunately, your 1999 Dodge has a headlight assembly that can be taken apart and cleaned with basic cleaning supplies. But, you’ll need to know how to remove the outer lens from the housing assembly. Open the hood and unscrew the mounting screws on the top of the headlight assembly. Slide the housing assembly forward. Unplug the electrical connector from the back of the headlight. Turn the headlight counterclockwise and pull it out of the housing assembly. Pry the retaining clips off of the lens that hold the lens to the housing. Wedge a flat-tip screwdriver between the lens and the main housing and pry the lens off of the housing.
