How Do You Fix Blank Screen On Dell Inspiron 6400?
If you say the backlight is on, then the cable from your motherboard (video card) of your laptop to the LCD is most probably lose or faulty. Considering the history of inspiron laptops I believe the screen may be faulty. But anything is possible, as the earlier answer states, get it to a ‘reliable’ technician to pin point the problem location. Hope it helps.
Right your going to laugh when I tell you this. You’ll think I’m crazy. I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 and I went on the help site because when I turned my laptop on, the screen was completely blank. The help site told me to turn the laptop back off and take the charger lead of of my laptop. Then take the battery out and press the on button. It appears not to do anything, but apparently its something to do with the AC adapter? Once you done that, put your battery back in and turn your laptop back on. I laughed and was like this is not going to work. But hand on my heart, it worked! I really hope this helped, if it doesn’t I apologise, I swear I’m not a psycho.
