How Do You Fix Auto Headlights On A 2003 Impala?
Fixing the “auto headlights,” or daytime running lights, on a 2003 Chevrolet Impala may or may not be a simple task. The headlight system typically fails because of faulty or pinched wiring. In the latter case, the wires can become pinched when you’re performing an unrelated repair. Since the wiring runs alongside the intake system on the 2003 Impala, this is the most common place for wiring-related issues. Locate the fuse panel under the dash and pull the fuse for the headlights. Inspect the fuse to see the metal strip inside. If this strip is burned or broken, replace the fuse with a new one of the same amperage. Turn the key to the “II” position in the ignition and listen for a faint click. You may not hear it unless you put your ear down toward the dash to the left of the steering wheel. This will indicate that the relay is working properly and that the auto headlights are turned on. The relays do not typically fail on the Impala; however, you want to be sure it’s getting power. Ch
