A virtual memory error such as “virtual memory too low” indicates that your RAM is currently too full to continue operating your computer at a manageable speed. Whether you have too little RAM to run your programs or your programs are taking up too much of your memory, your computer will continue to operate at a low speed. Here is what you can do to fix the virtual memory problem. Step 1 Close any programs you are not using. If you are using the Windows Vista sidebar, be sure to close that. Step 2 Open up your task manager in Windows XP or Vista to see which running programs are using the most memory.
