How Do You Fix A Toilet Seal?
Just about everyone has a leaky toilet at one point or another. Finding the cause of the leak can be a complex matter, frustrating many people and leading them to spend unnecessary money on a plumber. One of the more common causes of a leaky toilet occurs when the seal located under the toilet is no longer holding. These easy do-it-yourself steps should help stop the leak and save your bathroom floor from nasty water damage. Step 1 Begin by turning the water supply handle clockwise to the “off” position. This handle is located on the wall behind the toilet. Then, remove the lid from the top of the toilet tank. Flush the toilet and hold the lever down until all of the water in the tank has drained completely. Unscrew the water supply hose from the tank at the point where the water supply handle comes into the toilet tank. Step 2 Put on a pair of rubber gloves for sanitary purposes. Use a flat-headed screwdriver to pop off the caps from the base of the toilet on each side. This should ex
