How Do You Fix A Swinging Door Hinge?
Swinging doors can be a convenient way to access different parts of your home, but you may find that you have problems with the hinges on the doors. The hinges usually work well when the doors first go on, but slowly begin to break down over time. Once you fix the hinges you’ll find that the door works just as well as it did years ago. Fixing the hinges is a relatively easy process once you have the proper tools. Look for the hinge pins on your door. These pins look like long bolts and are directly in the middle of the hinge. You’ll need to take the hinge pins out of the door by tapping on the underside lightly with a hammer. Once the pin starts to slide out of the hinge, you can pull it out from the top. Lay the pins down on a flat surface like the driveway or floor. Lean the pins against a hard object like a concrete block so that you have a little support against the back. Hit the pin with your hammer until you see the pin begin to bend a little. You don’t want to bend the pins too
