How Do You Fix A Sticking Float Needle On A Murray Lawnmower?
Murray is one of the oldest lawn mower brands and has a reputation for being long-lasting and reliable. Over time, the inside of the carburetor may become clogged with sticky residue, which could make the float needle, the indicator needle inside the carburetor that controls the flow of gasoline, sticky and cause inconsistent gas delivery. Fixing a sticking float needle in a Murray lawn mower is not difficult. Step 1 Find the carburetor on the side of the lawn-mower engine. Use the screwdriver to remove the outside protective shroud. Step 2 Locate the float needle on the bottom of the carburetor and liberally spray the carburetor cleaner. Unscrew the drain plug in the bottom of the float bowl to allow the excess gas and carburetor cleaner to empty. Step 3 Use the screwdriver to work the needle in and out while spraying it with more carburetor cleaner. Work the needle until it operates smoothly, without sticking.
