Fixing a sticking float needle in a Murray lawn mower is not difficult. Step 1 Find the carburetor on the side of the lawn-mower engine. Use the screwdriver to remove the outside protective shroud. Step 2 Locate the float needle on the bottom of the carburetor and liberally spray the carburetor cleaner. Unscrew the drain plug in the bottom of the float bowl to allow the excess gas and carburetor cleaner to empty.
