Of course, you can adjust both equally raising or lowering the door. If you adjust them, watch how the door meets the jamb. If it’s not square, you need to adjust it until it is. You will likely then have to move the striker block that latches the door too. If you want a lube that you can spray in, will be more viscous and perhaps last longer, try buying a can of spray lithium white grease. This stuff sprays on thin and thickens up. Great for your car door hinges etc. Dont use it in your car door lock holes, too thick in cold weather and it could interfere with the tumbler action. It’s very likely that you have some worn out parts, but, adjusting could get you the clearance you need to stop the scraping.
