How Do You Fix A Scratched CD Or DVD Instead Of Trashing Them?
We have all been jamming out in the car singing along when the CD starts skipping. Yelling “REMIX!!” is only funny the first time. Even worse is when your over an hour into a movie and then it decides to skip around leaving you red faced. I’m sure you have tried to wipe off the disk, but your probably doing it wrong. Never clean the disk by swirling the cloth around the disk. Always go back and forth from the inside out! Before we begin actually repairing the disk I should tell you that some of these steps may make the disk look even worse when it comes to minor scratches but it will definitely play better. The first 2 I will tell you about I don’t usually recommend but they are free home remedies you may try. They are peanut butter and toothpaste. Use non-abrassive plain toothpaste and creamy peanut butter. The next method is pretty good but still not the best. If you have it handy, I would however, recommend it.
