If the scratch is really deep, there’s not too much you can do other than resurface the sink. If the scratch is just on the surface, you can remove it with a pumice stone. Place the plug in the sink, and fill the sink with an inch of water. Dip the pumice stone (available at some department stores and most hardware stores) in the water, and wet it completely. Scour the scratch on the side of the sink by rubbing the pumice stone over the length of the scratch to smooth it. Pull the plug, and drain the water from the porcelain sink.
