How Do You Fix A Registry From Different Computers?

0

The registry of a PC computer running Windows XP or later contains all of the settings and options for the operating system and your other software. If you are in charge of managing several computers and you find out that one is experiencing problems with something in the registry, you can remotely connect to that computer’s registry and make the necessary changes or fixes. Step 1 Log on to a PC computer with an administrator account. Step 2 Open the Start menu and click the “Run” button. Step 3 Type “regedit” (without quotes) into the text field and hit the “Enter” key on your keyboard. Step 4 Open the “File” menu and select the “Connect Network Registry” option. Step 5 Enter the name of the computer that you want to remotely manage in the pop-up window and click “OK.” The remote computer’s registry database will now open on your screen. Step 6 Make any desired changes to the remote computer’s registry, close the window and restart the remote computer.
