How Do You Fix A Noisy Rocker Recliner?
A noisy rocker recliner becomes annoying over time and the noise will not go away on its own. Friction on moving parts is the problem behind a noise that will not stop. The problem squeak is easy to isolate and fix because there are not many moving parts to a recliner. Fix the noise and you will soon be enjoying the comfort of the recliner while you sit and rock peacefully and quietly. Raise the footrest to the upright position. Place newspaper on the floor and lay the recliner on its side. Newspaper will protect the floor or carpet from overspray. Spray a lubricant on the joints and places that the springs rub against metal. Wipe off any excess spray. Return the rocker to the upright position and lower the footrest. Test the rocker and recliner and listen for squeaks. Repeat the steps if the noise persists.
