How Do You Fix A Noisy Pine Sleigh Bed?
Over time, the pine wood of your sleigh bed may dry out and cause the screws or joins to loosen, causing noise and squeaks when you move on the bed. If your sleigh bed is squeaking, it may be time to tighten up the frame. Step 1 Remove the linens, mattress and box spring from the bed. Step 2 Loosen the screws at each corner of the bed rails. If they are not screwed, they may be in place with dowels that are glued to each piece. Step 3 Place masking tape at the bottom of each bed rail and post. Place the masking tape so that when glue is poured into the joined area, it cannot run down the legs and onto the floor. Step 4 Pour a small amount of wood glue into each corner of the bed rail between the rail and headboard or footboard. Step 5 Tighten the screws at each corner of the bed rail. If the bed rail is not screwed to the headboard and footboard, place one L-shaped bracket in each corner so one side is on the bed rail and the other is on the headboard or footboard. Use the wood screws
