Step 1 Unplug your food processor and remove the bowl from the unit. Step 2 Check the blades on your food processor. Look to see whether any of the blades appear to be bent. If any of the blades are bent, this is definitely what is causing your food processor to be noisy. Replace the bent blades. Step 3 Turn the food processor upside down and use a screwdriver to unscrew the base plate of the unit. Remove the motor and its bearings. Lubricate the bearings with two or three drops of SAE 20-weight non-detergent oil. Step 4 Examine the bottom of the base plate of your food processor.
