Fiberglass showers can become damaged over time from common wear and tear. Many times they can get cracked or fractured, which can cause water damage to the floor or walls. In these cases, they need to be sealed quickly to prevent damage. Seal the cracks or fractures using marine fiberglass filler. You will then have to reapply the gel coat to the repaired area. Your local marine supply store has the necessary supplies and materials. Put on a respirator and sand the crack or fracture and the surrounding area with fine-grit sandpaper and a palm sander.
