How Do You Fix A Jammed Slide Projector?
Your friends may let slip a surreptitious sigh of relief when you’re forced to interrupt your 150-slide presentation of the family trip to Walt Disney World. But that jammed slide can ruin your carousel projector as well as your show if you don’t remove it properly. Step 1 Turn off the slide projector and let it cool for a few minutes. This might be a good time to refresh everyone’s drinks. Step 2 Remove the slide tray. This will require loosening a latch or inserting a quarter into a slot in the center of the tray and turning it. Step 3 With the lock ring in place, turn the tray upside down. Rotate the metal plate on the bottom of the carousel until it clicks into place. Step 4 Carefully remove the jammed slide from the projector. You may need to press the Forward button. Step 5 Place the tray back in the projector and, if it’s undamaged, return the slide to its slot. Step 6 Press the button that advances the carousel and spin the tray to where you left off.
