How Do You Fix A Flat Lawn Tractor Tire?
When mowing your lawn, you may encounter a nail or other sharp object that will put a hole in your lawn tractor tire. Rather than replace the entire tire, you can often fix it with a simple tire repair kit that is available at most home improvement stores. Step 1 Load a plug into the inserter, as you would thread a needle, wiggling the plug back and forth to get it through the inserter opening. Using your pliers, pull it through far enough to get your fingers around it and then pull until it is sticking out halfway on each side of the inserter. Step 2 Remove the nail or other object in your lawn tractor tire with the pliers. Have the rasp and inserter close by. Step 3 Push the rasp in and out of the hole several times. This cleans the hole so the plug has something to bond to and also enlarges the hole slightly to allow the plug to fit.
