You are drying a load of clothes and all you can hear is your dryer drum squeaking. The sound alone is enough to drive you insane. Fortunately, there is a solution, and you can take action immediately. Usually, the drum just needs a little greasing to stop that annoying squeaking dryer problem. Disconnect the dryer from the wall outlet or the breaker/fuse box. Be sure that the dryer is disconnected before you continue. Raise the top of the dryer. You will do this by inserting a putty knife into the crack between the top and front panel. Push against the spring clips to release. There will be one clip on each side of the dryer. Once the top has been released you can disconnect the wires to the door switch located on the right side on the backside of the front panel. Using a Phillips head screwdriver remove screws holding the front panel to the side panels. Pull the front panel away and lift off the bottom clips to remove it completely.
