How Do You Fix A Dripping Shower Head??

A shower head that is leaking is usually caused by a faulty o-ring or it is leaking at the connection to the shower stem. Once you know how to fix a dripping shower head, you can have the problem taken care of quickly. The shower head will have to be removed to access the o-ring. If the shower head still drips after repairs have been made, it is probably better to purchase and install a new one. Place a cloth over the shower head connection to the shower stem coming out of the wall. Use a pair of vice grips secured to the covered shower head and turn counterclockwise to loosen and remove the shower head. The cloth will protect the finish of the shower head. If the shower head will not loosen at first, apply some petroleum jelly around the threads. Look inside the connecting arm of the shower head and locate the black o-ring gasket. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the gasket. Take the gasket with you to the hardware store and purchase another that is exactly the same size. In
