Your computer’s graphics architecture depends on drivers to function. These small software programs help to bridge the gap between the graphics architecture and the rest of the computer, but occasionally problems can occur that prevent your graphics from working as they should. The most common cause of problems is corrupted drivers, which can happen when other software or computing procedures interfere with the drivers. Although it’s not always convenient to fix display drivers, the process isn’t overly difficult. Step 1 Identify the make and model of your graphics card. To do so, open the “Device Manager” control panel in Windows and expand the “Display Adapters” entry. This entry displays your graphics card. Step 2 Browse to the Web page of your graphics card’s manufacturer. For example, if you have an Nvidia graphics card, go to nvidia.com. For ATI cards, go to ati.amd.com.
