It’s an easy task to fix the crack and stop it from spreading; you can do it yourself with cheap, simple tools available at any hardware store. But don’t put this simple repair job off for too long, because cracks will expand and worsen with time. If you continuously put these repairs off until later, you’ll find yourself dealing with a much more serious situation in a few months. Step 1 Load a tube of bathtub caulk into a caulking gun. To do this, simply take the cap off of the caulking tube, align the butt end of the tube with the plunger at the back of the gun and slide the nozzle of the tube into the holder at the front of the gun.
