How Do You Fix A Corrupt Form In Microsoft Access?

0

There may be a time when a form you are using in Access will not work properly. You could rebuild the entire form or go to a backup prior to when the form started acting up. However, these are not the most desirable ways to get things working properly again. Short of redoing the entire form there is a trick you can try to repair it. This should work with any version of Microsoft Access. Open the form that is causing a problem in design view and open the property list. Change the RecordSource Property to something different and save the form and close it. Reopen the form in design view and change the RecordSource back to the original entry. Now save the form and close it. This causes the type library to be rebuilt and may very well fix the problem you were having. If the problem still persists then it is time to start thinking backup or rebuilding the form.
