Replacing double-paned window glass is a simple process, but it is important to follow all steps precisely for the smoothest repair possible. Remove the window sash from the window frame. Run the blade of a utility knife around the window where the sash connects to the window frame to break the seal between the window and the sash. Pry the window stops away from the sash with a putty knife. Pull out the brads holding the window stops in place with needle nose pliers. Pull the sash away from the window.
