How Do You Fix A 6 Wire Rotary Telephone Plug?
A telephone cable contains six wires which may be used to connect your telephone with up to three telephone lines. You can purchase telephone cable with the plugs already attached from an electronics supply store. You may also need to replace the plug when it breaks or if you need to make telephone cable with a custom length. This will require a new telephone plug, wire strippers and a crimping tool. Step 1 Cut the end of the telephone cable at a right angle to the cable. Use the wire stripper to remove ΒΌ inch of the outer sheath. Step 2 Inspect the six interior wires that are now exposed to ensure they’re undamaged. Most telephones only use the two innermost wires, which are typically green and red.
