Assuming that the original connectors are still in place, many Vauxhalls already have the ISO type connector at the radio, which is standard on aftermarket units. However, you will need to check the positions of the permanent 12V & accessory 12V (switched by ignition) in the connector, as everyone I’ve seen have been swapped over (so much for standard ISO!). If they are reversed things will work OK, but your head unit will lose its radio presets/last track position (CD) & audio settings etc. when you turn the ignition off. As removing the pins in the ISO block can be tricky, I normally cut the two feeds & fit crimp on bullet connectors to allow the swap over to be easily put back if re-fitting the original head unit. If doing this, fit the female bullet connectors to the CAR SIDE of the loom so that there are no bare live wires floating around if they are left disconnected.
