Belts, more than simply holding up a proper pair of pants, can be a proper fashion accessory in and of themselves. A belt buckle can make a statement of its own, providing a waist-high platform for everything from political slogans to expressions of your personality. And luckily for all concerned, fitting a belt buckle to a belt is a fairly simple task. Ensure that your belt is built for belt buckles. Belts that can accommodate buckles generally have clasps at one end, to form a loop that can hold a belt buckle into place. Lay both the belt and buckle face down, next to and facing each other: the belt strap should be facing to the right, and the buckle’s metal loop should face to the left. Unclasp the end of the leather belt, and slide the end through the buckle’s metal loop. Reclasp the belt, with buckle now attached. If required, adjust it snugly into place. Don your belt and buckle, and wear with pride.
