How Do You Fish At The Great Basin National Park?
Great Basin National Park may be located in the Nevada desert, but it is a prime location for fishing. The park offers six creeks and one large lake, all of which are home to nearly half a dozen types of trout. Beyond expected state fishing regulations, the park is a relaxing spot for recreational fishers. The standard rod and reel technique is the only fishing method allowed at the park, but this recreation is welcome all year, all day and all night. Obtain a Nevada fishing license in any Nevada County before you reach Great Basin National Park, since it does not sell licenses. Locations to obtain a license are listed at www.ndow.org. White Pine County (where the park is located) offers three options, the closest of which is called T & D’s Country Store in Baker, NV, according to the park’s Web site. Make sure to have proper identification for the application, and be ready to pay a fee from $13-69, depending on your age, state of residence, and length you will need the permit. Non-res
