How Do You Find What Programs Start With Windows XP?
You may see a handful of different programs and applications that open as soon as Windows XP boots up on your computer. Knowing all of the programs that start with Windows XP will allow you to determine which programs you want to start up immediately and which are not necessary. Removing programs and applications from the Startup menu will allow Windows XP to boot up at a faster rate, as you won’t have to wait around for each program to individually open and appear on the screen. Turn the computer on, and let Windows XP start up. Click “Start” in the task bar. A box will open. Choose “Run,” and a small window will appear. Type “msconfig” in the text box inside the window, and then click “OK.” The System Configuration window will appear. Click the “Startup” tab that is positioned at the top of the System Configuration window, and all of the programs that start up with Windows XP will be listed inside the window.
