How Do You Find VW Van Paint Codes?
The Volkswagen Eurovan has been out of production for a few years, but numerous companies still offer touch-up paint as well as other maintenance parts. Before ordering touch-up paint, however, be sure you know the exact paint code so you have an exact paint match. A vehicle’s paint code is usually on the vehicle identification badge, but the VW van has its own separate paint code badge. Consult the owner’s manual. Oftentimes the paint code will be labeled on the cover or inside cover of the manual. If you do not have the owner’s manual or cannot find the code, continue to Step 2. Open the front driver’s-side door. Look underneath the left side of the dashboard near the base of the steering column. There will be a metallic-looking badge with codes written on it. Find and write down the paint code.
