For Automatic Alignment, be sure the Dec. and R.A. locks are tight and that AutoStar is correctly attached to the telescope. Turn on the telescope. When “Press 0 to align or Mode for Menu” appears on the display, press “0” to start Automatic Alignment “Automatic Alignment” will appear on the display. The telescope will automatically perform several procedures including detecting the level of the telescope’s base, finding North and attempting a GPS fix. The telescope will align two stars to orient itself. This process starts when “Automatic Alignment: Selecting Star and Slewing” appears on the display.
