Determining the value of a home can be done with one of two methods. Visit Zillow.com and receive a free estimate of a home’s value and/or have a local real estate agent create a comparative market analysis (CMA). The electronic estimate from Zillow.com can give you a quick and instant guess at what a particular home may sell for, while a Realtor can add a more customized interpretation to the value of a particular property. Open Zillow.com in your web browser. Type in the address in the “Find Homes” text field of the property you would like to get a valuation estimate on. Click the “GO” button to the right of the “Find Homes” text field. This will take you to a web page that shows an aerial view of the home you have entered along with a box displaying the estimated value of the property and other information about the home such as the year constructed, number of bathrooms and number of bedrooms.
