If you or your business owns a projector, it is important to keep a couple of spare bulbs on hand. The bulbs used in these projectors can burn out quickly, sometimes without warning, and when the bulb does fail it will be impossible to start the projector until the bulb is replaced. In order to make sure you order the right bulb for your projector, it is important to first find the bulb’s part number. Shut down the projector and remove the power cord. Open the cover of the projector so that you can see the bulb. Shine your flashlight on the bulb and look for any markings on the top of the bulb. On some models of projectors the part number will be etched into the glass near the top of the bulb. Look on the side of the bulb for any markings or part numbers.
