How Do You Find The Charioteer Constellation?
The constellations are collections of stars that can suggest images in the night sky. Charioteer or Auriga appears in the northern sky in late winter. It can be seen best in February. It is visible between 90 degrees N and 40 degrees S latitudes. Look at the star map for your latitude and locate the Charioteer. Find which constellations are near it and what special astronomical objects are in or near the Charioteer. One particular feature that is near this constellation is the Pleiades, a cluster of seven very bright stars. The central star of the Charioteer is Capella. Scan the night sky. Between the North Star and the horizon look for a bright cluster of stars, the Pleiades. The Pleiades are a spectacular sight. Just back upward between Perseus and Gemini sits the Charioteer.
